The health of the people is the health of the nation
Baghdad was once the center of medical knowledge for the known world and home to many prominent physicians such as Ibn Masawaih, Jabril Ibn Burkhtishu and Hunain Ibn Ishaq who made many important advances in the field of medicine. Why then must our people suffer from lack of hospitals and lack of medical attention? Why is it so difficult to build hospitals on time and within budget? Why must 2,500 schools be closed due to swine flu? Why must our children be without basic medicines?
